Here are my Top 15 Picks for the month of June!

Enjoy!

"Voyager Drive" by Damian Lemar Hudson

Have you ever wanted a song that felt so perfect for a late night summertime drive? Damian Lamar Hudson’s track is just the song for you. With it’s groovy bass and guitar line and driving beat, it will more than fuel your drives. Go listen!

"Feeling Lonely" by Boy Pablo

This song is another great summertime song and could definitely fulfill your desires of being in a teenage coming-of-age movie. And it has a killer guitar riff! Go listen!

"Prosecco" by Jacob Banks

“Prosecco” is just a bop. It grooves so well, especially on late night drives. Plus, Jacob Banks’ deep voice is heavenly and smooth as silk. Go listen!

"Wait a Minute!" by WILLOW

Willow Smith really outdid herself on this song. Gaining popularity on the social media app, Tik Tok, this track has an infectious rhythm, paired perfectly with a simple beat and incredible vocals. Go listen!

"This Must Be The Place" by Sure Sure

With a killer electronic feel and groovy guitar riff, Sure Sure’s rendition of “This Must Be The Place” by the Talking Heads is a certified bop. I highly recommend this cover if you enjoy the original. Go listen!

"dreamgurl" by Besphrenz, Keith Goodwin

Just as the name suggests, this tune makes you feel like you’re in a dream. Whether it’s the electric guitar or the soft vocals, there are many things to love about Besphrenze & Keith Goodwin’s piece. Go listen!

"Lava" by Still Woozy

Still Woozy has quickly become one of my favorite singer-songwriter with his unique, indie sound and use of falsetto harmonies. His top songs “Goodie Bag” and “Habit” are hits for good reason and, if you’re craving more from this great artist, I highly recommend “Lava.” Go listen!

"Rollin’ Around" by Nat & Alex Wolff

As an old fan of The Naked Brothers’ Band, I was excited when this song showed up on my Spotify Weekly one Monday morning. Since then, I haven’t stopped listening to this song. The brotherly duo can do more than just act-- they can also make a boppin' track! Go listen!

"Ego" by Koren Grace

“Ego” is one of those tunes that gets stuck in your head and you find yourself humming for hours on end, but in the best kind of way. The cute addition of a vibraphone makes the piece even better. Go listen!

"Redbone" - Live by Andie

Childish Gambino did it well, but Andie may have done it better. This soft rendition of the R&B classic, Redbone, makes an excellent addition to any easy-listening playlist. Plus, it utilizes a kazoo in a shockingly wonderful way! Go listen!

"Window" by Still Woozy

Another Still Woozy song, I know, but like “Lava,” this song is an indie paradise. If you’re a lover of indie and psychedelic beats, this one's for you! Go listen!

"If You Feel (The Way I Do)" by Reliably Bad

A local Greensboro group? A prominent Jazz-influence? Soft, yet powerful, vocals? What is there not to love?! This tune pairs well on any playlist that radiates good vibes. Go listen!

"Call Your Name" by Tora

If you’ve read my Artist Radar piece on Tora, you already know how much I adore this song. If not, what are you waiting for? Go read my post! And then, go listen to “Call Your Name!”

"Crossfire/So Into You" by Nai Palm

Nai Palm is a powerhouse. I’ll say it. Her vocals astound me, as does her use of melodic harmonies and acoustic sound. “Crossfire/So Into You” is a perfect testament to her craft. Go listen!

"Truth" by Kamasi Washington

For my lovers of jazz, this one’s for you. Originally recommended to me by a close friend, this piece has the ability to captivate any listener of music, especially those with a deep appreciation for jazz. I find trouble coming up with words to describe this piece of art because it is exactly that: art. I highly recommend this song to anybody who wants to feel the notes as deeply as you listen to them. Go listen!
